“Purgatory is the condition or process of purification – in the Catholic belief system – where the souls of those who die in a state of grace are made ready for Heaven. Between Heaven and Hell – the soul can ascend or descend, depending.”

MAC has come to Firsay to see the prison where his father was incarcerated and died. CAT has come to see the farm, The Mains, where her mother was born and raised. They have three hours on the island and have to be back at The Haven, the harbour, at a certain time to be collected by the boatman due to the exceptionally low tides. They meet up after their separate wanderings. It is the early evening of the Autumnal Equinox.

Skraelings Theatre Company was set up to develop and produce theatre which is devoted to exploring the issues of Highland culture producing work which is culturally, socially and politically relevant to the Highlands,

"With nothing but an old chest of trinkets, the two actors perform the two-handers flipping character with a simple costume adjustment... it feels as through Gunn is marking out a change in the future of the Highlanders and indeed all Britons...." - TvBomb.co.uk @ The Roxy
