Play Pieces is delighted to announce that we will be working with local companies Windswept Brewing Company and Loch Ness Brewery to bring our audiences a real taste of the Highlands, alongside their theatre this season.
For the first time ever, Play Pieces is bringing it's lunchtime theatre season to pubs - The Drouthy Cobbler in Elgin and The Phoenix Ale House in Inverness. Audiences get their lunch which will be delicious locally-made pies as well as a pint before getting their fill of theatre, all for £10.
Lindsay, Play Pieces director, says she is delighted to offer such a tasty treat to audiences " As Play Pieces lunchtime season was inspired by A Play, A Pie and A Pint in Glasgow, I've always been keen to offer people a complete taste of the Highlands when they come to our events. We have fantastic food, drink and arts in the area so to get all three, during one short hour is really fantastic."
Audiences in Elgin will be able to enjoy a beer courtesy of Windswept who are based in Lossiemouth, while audiences in Inverness will be treated to a drink from Loch Ness Brewery, based in Drumnadrochit.
"Working with local businesses is so important to us" explains Lindsay " Play Pieces is all about supporting local Highland theatre, so why not extend that to support local Highland businesses too."
Play Pieces has also teamed up with North Hop festival in August. Not only will there be a sneak peek of the first Play Pieces performance of the new season at the Festival but all tickets bought at www.playpieces.co.uk between now and 25 August will be entered into a Prize Draw for North Hop tickets.
The Play Pieces season starts Friday 5 September in Elgin and Saturday 6 September in Inverness and runs once a month until March 2015.
